Templecats are the shorthaired version of the Birman. 
Templecats have the exact Birman type and conformation- the classic roman nose,  the deep blue eyes, the white  markings on both gloves and gauntlets, but with an easy-care short, dense coat. 

Templecats now rival the long haired Birmans in popularity due to their easy care coats and outgoing personalities.
